Mirror a photo left-to-right or top-to-bottom

Add it, choose a horizontal or vertical mirror in the panel, then apply the flip when the setting is right.

How it works

  1. 1Add your photo. It never leaves your device — flipping happens right in this browser tab.
  2. 2Choose the direction and apply it. It starts with a horizontal mirror. Switch to vertical first if that is the direction you need.
  3. 3Download the mirrored image. The flip is baked into the pixels, so text and details read correctly in every app.

Flip Image

Mirror a photo horizontally or vertically in one click. No upload — flipping happens instantly on your device.

A phone's front camera can mirror selfies, leaving text or asymmetric details facing the wrong way. This tool starts with the untouched original, then lets you choose Horizontal or Vertical with one click. The preview updates immediately in your browser, and choosing Original reverses the flip without another Apply step.

How it works

1. Load the photo you need mirrored

Pick your JPG, PNG, or WebP file from your phone or computer by tapping to browse, paste it straight in from your clipboard, or drag it onto the box above. This suits mirrored selfies where text or watches appear backward, scanned images that came out reversed by accident, and design graphics you want to duplicate as a mirror image for a symmetric layout. The photo loads and displays exactly as saved, entirely on your device, and stays there rather than being sent off anywhere at all before you decide whether to flip it.

2. Choose the direction

The tool starts on Original so the staged image is unchanged. Choose Horizontal to mirror left to right or Vertical to mirror top to bottom. Each button updates the preview immediately, and Original restores the unflipped view without a separate Apply click.

3. Download the flipped image

Once the preview looks correct, hit Download to save the mirrored version to your device. The flip is applied directly to the image's pixels, so text that was backward now reads correctly, and the result displays the same way in every app, browser, and printer rather than depending on some special flag only certain software understands. The original file on your device stays exactly as it was, so you keep both versions to compare or reuse, which is handy if you want the mirrored copy for one purpose and the untouched original saved separately for another purpose entirely.

Frequently asked questions

Why does text in my selfie look backward?
Front-facing phone cameras typically mirror the preview to match what you'd see in a real mirror, and some phones save the photo that way too, reversing any text or asymmetric detail.
Can I flip vertically instead of horizontally?
Yes. Choose Horizontal to mirror left to right, Vertical to mirror top to bottom, or Original to remove the flip.
Does flipping affect image quality?
No. Flipping only rearranges existing pixels; it doesn't recompress or blur anything, so there's no quality loss beyond the normal save step.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere during flipping?
No. Every direction you choose is processed locally in your browser using your own device, so no image data leaves your computer or phone before you download the result.
